Research & Project Design Review

What is it? Design (whether for research or programs) refers to the overall strategy chosen to integrate the various components of a study in a coherent and logical way, ultimately answering your proposed research question(s). Grant proposals usually focus on either research or programs. A research grant focuses on establishing new knowledge, while program grants will take new knowledge and apply or implement it to different populations. Their methodological designs, are therefore, quite different. The stated research problem will determine the type of design utilized. Research and program design review, therefore, is taking a critical look at what is being proposed from beginning to analysis.

As both practitioners and statisticians with applied research backgrounds, research and program design review is one of the things we do best. With data analysis and results being an end product of all grants, designing your research and program with the end in mind is critical. Grant reviewers, especially at the federal level, are well informed in appropriate research design, and specifically look for holes in your proposed theory, methodology, and analysis. Through research and program design review, our consultants can help you put your best foot forward.

FAQ About Research and Project Design Review

The most clear and succinct way to lay out a timeline is using a Gantt chart, built in Excel and pasted into Word. If the program is longer than a few months, the timeline should be presented landscape. If it must be divided between 2 pages, ensure the descriptions are included on the second page.

Usually the solicitation will note the funder priorities in the introductory portions of the call. If they are not clearly stated, however, you should go to the funder’s website and search for their current priorities.

If you are pursuing large scale funding without having the experience of small then medium sized funding, more than likely you will not be funded. Large scale funders need confidence to know that you can manage and be successful with smaller funding.

Coaches provide oversight and guidance to a client to help them reach pre-established goals; a mentor is someone in a similiar field (usually) that imparts or shares their knowledge and experience for the growth and development of another.

Coaching helps you develop and articulate your long-term goals and stay on track, focused on what is important to the process and accountable to your best efforts.

What Our Clients Say About Us

I was referred to Elite Research from a friend, who is a Doctoral student from another university. He received excellent assistance with compilation of his statistics and assistance with formatting the stats. I signed up for the same services and also APA formatting and proofing. Elite gave me a written estimate up front for various services, so I could chose what fit my needs and budget. The turnaround time was incredibly fast! My classmates were extremely impressed by the professional quality of my paper and have signed up also.
