Document formatting is important for data presentation and readability. Elite Research editors have experience working with university, corporate, journal, publication, institutional, and style guidelines from around the globe.
Minimal Formatting
What is it? Editor sees that tables need basic formatting to university, corporate, journal, publication, institutional, and/or style guide, preliminary/end matter pages and page numbers need to be updated, some spacing errors throughout, bulleted lists, etc.
Style guides supported include, but not limited to, all editions of APA, AMA, MLA, ASA, ACS, Chicago, and Turabian.
How can we help you?
Editors compare a final document version and the provided guidelines to correct all formatting errors and inconsistencies created during editing before final printing, submission, or binding occur.
We offer the following formatting help:
- Preliminary Pages: Confirm correct formatting, spacing, order, and contents of front matter pages.
- Document Body: Correct paragraph indentation and line spacing, page orientation and setup such as margins, page numbers, section breaks, widows/orphans, etc.
- References/Works Cited: Does not include style guide formatting but includes the formatting of the reference section (e.g., hanging indent, widow/orphan control, and lines spacing).
- Appendices/Tables/Figures: Confirm that all appendices, tables, and figures are mentioned in text, in the correct order and with the correct content, as well as checking internal lines and spacing, notes/captions, legibility/color, within margin boundaries, etc.
- Final Formatting: Formatting a document that is nearly ready for submission but needs the final update (e.g., page number, Tables of Contents, List of Tables/Figures updates, widow/orphan control, etc.).
