Data Analyst

This role plays a critical part in designing and building standardized health outcomes reports for our clients. Applicants for the report analyst role should have SQL expertise in an SSRS environment as well as data management and statistical skills, all of which will be used to drive improvements in patient care. Advanced knowledge and experience with “real world” raw data and an interest in behavioral health/clinical outcomes are required.  A successful candidate will have a natural curiosity for research, an aptitude for analytics, a desire for data-driven decision making, and interest in improving mental health treatment and outcomes.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide support to Senior Scientist/Analyst and other Scientists/Analysts on the team in standardized report design and building, data management, data cleaning, and analysis. Drafting both standardized and ad hoc reports of analysis results for non-statistically savvy audiences. Write new and modify existing SPSS syntax/applications for use by self and other Analysts. Verify accuracy of reports produced by other Analysts.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics or another quantitative field, such as Psychology, Economics, or Sociology and 1+ years of experience.  
  • Organizational and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work diligently as both part of a team and individually.
  • Critical thinking and logical, analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in data management, and report development containing data tables and visual displays of data in an SSRS environment
  • Proficiency in using relational database management tools (e.g. SQL).
  • Experience with SPSS, or similar statistical modeling software like SAS, Stata, or R.
  • Experience with basic statistical tests, including but not limited to t-tests, Pearson’s correlation, crosstabulation with chi-square, and one-way ANOVA.
  • Experience in designing user friendly reports that convey meaningful clinical information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to health care data, specifically mental health and surveys.
  • Proficiency in basic statistical methods, including but not limited to t-tests, Pearson’s correlation, crosstabulation with chi-square, and one-way ANOVA
  • Experienced in using BIDS (Business Intelligence Development Studio) to build reports containing data tables and visual displays of data
  • Proficiency in SPSS syntax and Python
